Robin Thicke Fought To Keep His Marriage With Paula Patton Going — But If He Still Wanted Her Lovin', Why Didn't She?!

So many breakups have been happening lately, including the marital union between Robin Thicke and Paula Patton. It has just ran its course…

But that doesn't mean the Blurred Lines singer put his hands up in the air and gave up on saving his marriage!

According to an insider, Robin wanted so badly to save their marriage but Paula didn't feel the same.

The insider said:

"Robin wanted to save their marriage, but it was Paula's choice and she ended it. Robin does not want this divorce."

It's a shame these two couldn't work it out. Especially for the sake of their adorable son, Julian!

Another source said while Robiin didn't want it to happen, he ultimately knew it was going to happen:

"Robin was not blindsided — he knew this was coming out. But he was committed to saving their marriage. He didn't want this."

Such a sad time for the high school sweethearts. To think, we totally thought they'd withstand through the testaments of the industry!

A third source also dished on the couple's up-in-the-air relationship status:

"She is done with the marriage, but he was definitely fighting to stay together until the last moment. It is still cordial between them, but they are now figuring things out."

Well, they did say they'll always love each other and continue to be best friends. Let's hope they hold onto that agreement.
